Kailash Kora

Mt. Kailash the most sacred Mountain for Buddhist and HIndu and for many others. It is located in the far West of Tibet. Every year there are thousands of pilgrims comes from all parts of Tibet and also from other countries ,espacially hindus from India.

Kailash Kora means Kailash circumambulation, the distance is about 53 Km, Tibetans can finish this trek in one day but normaly foriegners takes about 2-3 days. Trekking route; start from  Darchen - Dirapuk-Zutulpuk.

Day 1 : Arrive Lhasa

We will meet you at the airport and drive to the City (Lhasa.) and check in hotel and meet you later at dinner time.Authentic Tibetan food)

Day 2 : Lhasa sight seeing; Jokhang & Sera Monastery

Morning we will visit the Jokhang Temple, the spiritual center of Tibetan Buddhism, attracts thousands and thousands of pilgrimage from all over Tibet and around the world,it was built by the great King Songten Gampo. 

In the afternoon we visit one of biggest monasteries in Tibet, belongs to Gelugpa or yellow sect, Sera monastery which was built in the year of1419 by “chamchen Chojie” a disciple of Tsongkapa. Sera monastery is very famous in‘Buddhism Scriptures Debating.

Day 3 : Lhasa - Dark Yerpa

After breakfast we visit Drak Yerpa. There are many holy meditaition caves. Tibet's great king Songtsen Gampo has meditated in this caves for three years. It has beautiful view from top of Kyichu and Lhasa valley.

Day 4 : Lhasa sight seeing; Potala palace & NorbuLingkha

In the morning we will visit Potala palace, served both as administrative centre and religious centre. in Tibet. It was built in the 7th century by Tibetan king “Songtsen Gampo” and later renovated by 5th Dalai Lama in the 17th century. 

In the afternoon we will visit Norbu Lingka the summer palace of Dalai Lamas. Norbu Lingka is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and was added as an extension of this Historic Ensemble in 2001. It was built by the 7th Dalai Lama and served both as administrative centre and religious centre. It is a unique representation of Tibetan palace architecture. 

Day 5: Lhasa - Shigatse Overnight

After breakfast we start the journey, head toward Shigatse which is the second largest city in Tibet. It’s also the home town of Banchen Lama. We will be visiting the famous Tashilumpo Monastery. On the way

Day 7: Saga - Darchen overnigt

After breakfast we leave Saga and head to Darchen and on the way we will see the holy lake Monasarovor and himalaya range. Stay overnight at Darchen.

Day 8: Darchen - Dhiraphuk
Day 9: Dhiraphuk - Zutulpuk

The Second day Kailash Kora starts from Dhira Phuk to Zutulpuk around 7-8 hours, we will across Dolmala pass and camp overnight at Zutulpuk.

The first day Kailash Kora starts from Darchen to Dhira Phuk for around 6- 7 hours and camp overnight at Dhiraphuk.

Day 10: Zutulpuk - Darchen - Dongpa

The third day Kailash kora start from Zutulpuk to Darchen, which will take about 4-5 hours.After lunch we pack our belongs and drive to Dongba and overnight at Dongpa.

Day 11: ~Dongpa - Sakya

After breakfast we drive direct to Sakya monastery and stay overnight at Sakya. It is possible to see some wild animals of Tibet on the way. Stay overnight at Sakya.

Day 6: Shigatse - Saga

We drive from Shiatsus early morning and visit Sakya Monastery on the way to Saga and stay there overnight camping.

Day 12: Sakya - Shigatse

Have early breakfast and then visit Sakya monastery, and then leave for Shigatse. On the way if we are lucky we will see some wild animals.

Day 13: Shigatse - Lhasa

Right after breakfast we will head back to Lhasa and on the way we will see the Yamdork Yumtso (Lake) fabulous shade of deep turquoise, Glaciers, wild animals and birds.

Day 14: free day in Lhasa 

Do some shopping and wonder around Bhakor circle and enjoy the tea houses.

Day 15: Arrive Lhasa

After breakfast we will take you to the airport and farewell!!!
